INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Organic Wisdom Ragi Idli Mix
  • ¾ cup curd (or as required)
  • ¼ cup water (adjust for batter consistency)
  • 1 teaspoon oil (for greasing the idli moulds)
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped (optional)
  • Grated carrot (optional)
  • Chopped green chillies (optional)

PREPARATION

  • Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, add the Organic Wisdom Ragi Idli Mix. Gradually add curd and water while stirring to make a smooth, lump-free batter with a pouring consistency.
  • Rest the Batter: Allow the batter to rest for 10–15 minutes so the ingredients absorb moisture and develop a soft texture.
  • Prepare the Idli Moulds: Lightly grease the idli moulds with oil. If desired, mix grated carrot, coriander leaves, or chopped green chillies into the batter for added flavour and nutrition.
  • Steam the Idlis: Pour the batter into the greased idli moulds. Steam in a preheated idli steamer for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Allow the idlis to cool for 2 minutes before removing them from the moulds. Serve hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar.

Tips

  • Adjust the water gradually to achieve a smooth, thick pouring consistency.
  • Do not overmix the batter after resting.
  • Steam on medium heat for soft and fluffy idlis.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
